obama campaign increasingly thinks the latino vote in nevada would do it. that would put the president over the top there. if he didn't get nevada for some reason, the president's options would be colorado, virginia, new hampshire or florida. the president with an easier path. what about governor romney. let's leave this one blue. can governor romney get there if ohio is going blue. can romney get all the way to 270 when the president's already at 275. well, he would have to win florida, he would have to win virginia. then you're at 255, 254. he would have to win colorado. that would put him in play at 263. then from there, how does governor romney get over the top? he would if he won wisconsin, paul ryan's home state. 10 electoral votes right there. logic being if the president's winning ohio, these are two very similar states. so wisconsin would be one model and let's just say for the sake of argument that one did stay blue, that puts the president right there. governor romney would have to get there by winning in nevada, not enough, and new hampshire. so you see governor romney woul

president obama running at 50% and mitt romney trailing at 46%. early voting has been under way in ohio for 25 days. today, president obama campaigned on local ohio television via satellite from washington. >> i'm very confident and the reason is first of all we've got incredible volunteers and folks who are out there making phone calls and knocking on doors and as you know early voting has started in ohio and we've seen a huge up surge in people taking advantage of that. so we've got a pretty good sense of who's actually voting in ohio. >> joining me now are joy reid and ohio state senator nina turner. senator turner you've had get out the vote rallies repeatedly. what have you been doing today and in the last 11 days to get out the vote? >> we're firing up the president's base and making sure that people understand that this is a choice election and in that no one can sit this out and we have to make sure that in the state of ohio that we continue to rally the base, get folks excited and they are very excited, lawrence. contrarry to what motion may be seeing. there is no enthusiasm ga

. new jersey is a lot for obama -- is a lock for obama. nobody thinks it's going to vote for mitt romney and nowhere in this conversation he said the president has been outstanding. i talked to him three times. he is gushing over his admiration and i'm sure mitt romney would do the same thing. mitt romney is nowhere near mentioned in this whole thing. and so it allows the president to stand next to a republican and evoke bipartisanship and saying that the president rises to the occasion and chris christie looks like a cheerleader. >> cover that state house in trenton years ago. i can tell you if you a republican you better get along with democrats because there are plenty of them. fox 5 political analyst, we thank you. >>> the president gets back into it full swing tomorrow and heads back on the campaign trails for the remainder of the campaign. >> two and a half hours where the polls close at early voting. here is bowie public library. how is it going? >> people are motivated to vote. the line has been long outside this building since the library opened its doors at 8:00 this mor

obama. >> u.s. did a poll in august, and a prediction of 90 million will not vote next tuesday. when they ask people who didn't vote, if you had to vote who would you vote for? and i think the number was 43% would vote for obama, and 18% would vote for romney. the nonvoters are easily 2-1 or 3-1 in favor of obama. so the real challenge i think, is this is what i thought. i sent this out to twitter followers and facebook and between my mailing list, i have 5 million people on various social media. i said to all of them today, can you do me the favor? in the next fiver six days, identify somebody who isn't planning on voting and expect them to vote? get them to vote. if we took that as the mission for the next six days. i'll get one nonvoter to vote, and i think that this could add easily another million votes for obama. we don't talk about the unlikely voters, and i would look at this if i were a politician and say, wow, there's 90 million untapped votes there, what can i do. >> let's take a final break. stick around. we'll be back after this. . vote. vote. vote. vote. >> so did you get the message obama supporters some vote, vote, vote, early, early, early. it is a message directed specifically at the base. and to drive the point home about early voting, president obama went home to cast his vote this past thursday in chicago. this is the first time a sitting president has voted early. and the campaign also circulated a photo of first lady michelle obama showing off her prepared absentee ballot. now, they have it up on their website, too, in case you haven't had any campaign ads to remind you. i figured, hell, if they're voting early, i might as well join the party. so i voted earlier this week. while that message may have been pretty clear, the obama campaign has had a few mixed messages. their daily e-mails have ranged from the race is close giving voters a sense that they might lose at any point to them having a bit of swagger. we got this. now, mitt romney on the other hand has chosen to go full tilt with his swagger. i can't even believe i just said romney and swagger in the same sentence. but here he is. >> i want you to know how optimistic i am. this is about to get real good. >> this is about to get real good. see, romney's closing strategy is to
